THE BLOG

I use the WordPress.org self hosted blogging platform.  There are many free blogging sources out there but you run the risk of getting shut down at the slightest whim.  They may not like your content, get complaints about your page, or change their Terms of Service and you’ll find yourself getting shut down.  Using a self hosted blog will solve all those issues.  You will need a domain name, hosting account, and an auto responder.

GoDaddy Domains

GoDaddy.com specializes in domain name creation.  While they do have a variety of services now they are still the best and easiest to use for your domain purchase.

Hosting

Host Gator

While there is a plethora of hosting services out there Host Gator is the best.  They specialize in hosting, integrates well with WordPress, inexpensive, maintains a spectacular dashboard and have amazing customer service.

Auto Responder

Aweber

Auto Responders will allow you to communicate with your sites visitors by email.  You can let them know when a new post is made, create newsletters, and keep them in the loop about what’s going on with your business.  The best part is your recipients have subscribed to your emails so they want to be contacted.  There is no more spamming to get your message out.

Aweber is the auto responder that I prefer.  They have one of the highest deliverability rates in the business, fully customizable and easy to use.

BUSINESS TOOLS
